Georgia Routsou
Since 2009, Georgia is an HR Director at The MET Hotel of the Chandris Group. She served for 6 years as Director of Personnel and Development at Sani Resort & Oceania Club. She holds a Master of Science in Human Resources & Development from the University of Stirling. She has an extensive teaching experience through her cooperation with the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki and here employment in the private education sector.
Alexandros Svyriadis
Alexandros began his undergraduate studies in Business Administration at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK, and continued his MA in Hospitality Management at Cornell University in New York. In recent years he has worked as a Project Manager at Electra Hotels & Resorts and has worked in the UK, at the Athenaeum Intercontinental, in Skopelos Village and has also worked as an adviser to Tri hospitality consulting.
Dr. Ioannis Samaras
Ioannis holds an Accounting Degree, a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southampton in Great Britain and a PhD from the University of Macedonia, department of Applied Informatics. The focus of his PhD was on International Accounting Standards and Financial Accounting. Regarding his career experience, he is co-owner and co-manager of a hospitality unit (bungalows) located in Halkidiki. Since 2006, he is also the owner and manager of an Accounting – Taxation office. Since 2008, he has been teaching at an undergraduate and postgraduate level at TEI (Technological Educational Institute) of Thessaloniki and Serres as a research associate in the departments of Tourism Administration, Accounting, Marketing and Logistics and also demonstrates a remarkable research activity by writing papers for international scientific conferences and journals.
Evangelia Psarommati
Evangelia Psarommati has a cross-cultural working experience within the Management, Marketing and Communication field, specialised in the areas of Tourism, Sports and Culture. She is a University of Athens graduate, department of Physical Education and Sports Science. She holds a Master’s Degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism with concentration in Leadership from Virginia Com. University, USA. She has proven professional track record from private and public sector, corporations, institutions and non-governmental organisations in Greece and abroad. Strategic planning and implementation, partnerships and alliances development, stakeholders credibility establishment, fundraising and crisis management are some of the main responsibilities she has undertaken working on a senior level. She has worked with (indicative): Octagon - Events and Sports Marketing (Olympic Sponsorship Consultant), Bespoke (CSR Consultant), Dentsu Promoseven - Sports Marketing Agency, Asia (Sponsorships and Hospitality Consultant), SETE - Association of Greek Tourist Enterprises (Public Relations Manager), GNTO - Greek National Tourism Organization (Executive Advisor).
Trifon Papapanagiotou, PhDc.
Trifon Papapanagiotou is a Diploma graduate of the Department of Financial and Management Engineering of the University of Aegean and a postgraduate of the MSc in Finance and Financial Information Systems, of the Department of Finance and Accounting of the University of Greenwich. Mr. Papapanagiotou is a PhD candidate of the Department of Economics, of the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki and is also a scientific scholar of the A.U.TH. Research Institute. He has published academic papers in a reputable scientific journals refereed, in International scientific Conferences and in proceedings of National Conferences. He has been awarded from the University of Greenwich for the best departmental postgraduate thesis for the academic year of 2009-2010 and has received a distinction award in the National Conference of ‘Entrepreneurship and Innovation’ with his team, for a research project in Bio-Statistical Analysis of Medical Data. He is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece since 2008 and holds professional licenses of Tax Accountant and Economist. His research activities mainly focus on financial engineering, financial risk management, portfolio analysis and optimisation, financial operational research, financial instruments market analysis and specifically the funds and derivatives sectors. He has many years of professional activity, as he has been occupied in various fields of the Public and Private Sector in Greece, such as the Agricultural Bank of Greece, the Ministry of the Aegean, the Financial Department of Chios General Hospital.
Maria Panidou
She started her studies at the Technological Educational Institute of Larissa, where she received a degree in Tourism Management and continued with a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Human Resource Management at the University of Macedonia. She has worked in several five star hotels such as Kempinski Hotel Nikopolis Thessaloniki, Porto Sani Village Suites and Asterias Suites of Sani Resort. In recent years she has been working with the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki as a scientific associate. Since October 2016 she is the program Leader of the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts of Mediterranean college of Thessaloniki.
Dionysia Panagopoulou
Dionysia Panagopoulou is an acknowledged professional in the hospitality industry with deep knowledge of Greek Tourism and specialisation in Hotel Business Administration. She graduated from the Technological Educational Institution of Athens with a B.A. in Business Administration. Then, she specialised in the Hotel Business. She started her career at Capsis S.A. and she has since worked as an executive in well-known hotels corporations, such as Divani Caravel S.A, Grecotel and Athenaeum Intercontinental.
Eirini Lazaridou, PhDc.
Since 2013, Eirini is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Economics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2010 she holds a Bachelor in Accounting and Finance, from the Business School of the University of Macedonia and she has a Master in Accounting and Finance, from the University of Macedonia, Business School, Department of Accounting and Finance. She is working as a lecturer at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Economic Sciences and has also teaching experience in the private education sector.
Yannis Kyanides, PhDc.
Yannis is an economist – entrepreneur and a PhD candidate at the University of Macedonia. He graduated from the Department of Business Administration of the University of Macedonia, where he also completed his postgraduate studies, gaining an MBA. He has worked as a consultant in various consultancy agencies (2005-2007), as an analyst at the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (2007-2008) as well as a scientific associate to former MP Vasileios Geranidis (2008-2012). Today he is active in the area of Business Consultancy and Energy. He is the author of a number of articles that have been published on newspapers and magazines.
Dimitra Karathanassi
Dimitra Karathanassi is a highly qualified Τourism expert. With a Diploma of the famous Hotel Management School “Les Roches”, in Switcherland, she has started her career in London with the Hilton company and returned to Greece in 1995. She worked for more than 12 years for the largest Hotel Chain in Greece, “The Daskalantonakis Group”, at all Sales and Marketing positions of the company and coached a large team of sales personnel, in Greece and abroad as the Executive Director (Commercial). Since 2008 she has her own private company and works as a Hotel Management Consultant. She also has a wider knowledge of the Greek Tourism industry.
Maria Karafoulidou
Maria Karafoulidou studied at the University of Macedonia in the Department of Educational and Social Policy of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and continued her postgraduate studies at the University of Leeds in the UK by acquiring the Master of Arts in Human Resources Development and Lifelong Learning. She has worked for 6 years as a HR manager at the Sani Resort & Oceania Club hotel in Halkidiki. Since April 2015 she has been working as a Training Manager at Ikos Resorts & Sani Resort.
Nikos Karagiannidis
Managing Director with 30 years experience in managerial positions with leading Greek and multinational companies in the hotel sector in Greece and abroad. Particular experience in ISO 22000 / HACCP, Crisis Management, Human Resources Management, Hotel Management, Managing Total Quality Systems, Planning, Organisation and Management of Hospitality Launches, Oenologists, and Green Key Certification (EMA). He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell University. He has worked for well-known and successful Hotel corporations, such as Starwood hotels & resorts worldwide, INC. Greece, Hyatt Regency. He is Head Internal Auditor for ISO 9000, 9001, 22000 - IRCA certified, as well as holder of several diplomas in wine tasting and wine sales techniques from the Wine Spectator School.
Dr. Grigorios Painesis
Grigorios Painesis holds a BSc in Marketing and Communication from Athens University of Economics and Business (2005) and an MSc in Management Science and Operational Research (with Distinction) from University of Warwick (2007). He also holds a PhD in Marketing from Athens University of Economics and Business (Department of Marketing & Communication) with focus on consumer behavior and retail marketing. His research papers have been presented in International Refereed Conferences of established value. He has been awarded with scholarships and awards for consecutive years by the Greek State Scholarship’s Foundation, the Ministry of Education and the Athens University of Economics and Business. Since 2009 he teaches Marketing, Data Analysis and Market Research modules in the Technological Educational Institution of Athens (Faculty of Management and Economics, Department of Marketing) and in colleges. His main academic interests lie in the fields of Consumer Research, Marketing Research, Retail Marketing, Sales Promotions and Quantitative Marketing Decision Models. He has conducted marketing research projects for the Greek Youth Institute, the Hellenic Retail Business Association (H.R.B.A.), AbbVie Pharmaceuticals S.A. and Efficient Consumer Response Hellas, while he is Specialist Advisor and Consultant of the Athens Startup Business Incubator (working under the auspices of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry) for the development of entrepreneurial and business skills in the area of marketing. Dr. Evangelia Markaki
Dr. Evangelia Markaki (Post Doc) holds a post doc in Applied Statistics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She works since 2008 in the field of vocational guidance, career development and career planning. She has been specialised in the application of statistical psychometric tools, the types of learning styles and brain function. She is responsible for career planning and development processes in organisations, providing career guidance services. Dr. Markaki is responsible for conducting surveys and researches both in Greece and abroad. She collaborates in the private sector as head of the management for human resources processes. She has conducted more than 3,200 interviews in recent years. She has worked in the Greek Broadcasting Corporation (ERT), the regional channel Blue Sky, the Athens 2004 Olympic Games in Athens Olympic Broadcasting (AOB), in consulting companies and in VPRC polls and surveys company. She has over ten years of teaching experience. Since 2009 until today, she teaches in higher education in the public and private sectors. She is a graduate of Communication and Mass Media Studies department at University of Athens. In 2007 she graduated from the Master of Human Resources Management programme at the Athens University of Economics and Business. She speaks four foreign languages: French, English, Italian and German. She is a member of Scientific and Professional Unions and a member at the Management Board of the Institute of Human Resources Management of the Hellenic Management Association. Teaches: Human Resources Management.
Demetrios Kongas
Demetrios holds a BA and an MA in Sociology from the University of Essex. His research interests are in the area of organizational theory, consumer behaviour, labour relations, industrial conflict, culture, leadership and education. He has written a book on organizational theory and personnel management and is currently writing books on consumer behaviour and sociology. Demetrios Kongas is the Programme Leader of Undergraduate Programmes in the School of Business at Mediterranean College, Athens, Greece, and responsible for teaching the modules Developing Personal Leadership, Understanding People in Organisations, Ethics and Social Responsibility, Consumer Bahaviour and International Entrepreneurship. He is also teaching Quality, Leadership and Management in the MA Education Leadership and Management programme.
Dr. Michael Geranios
Michael Geranios holds a PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management from the University of Aegean. He also holds an MBA specialised in Human Resource Management and a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis on New Technologies from the same university. He has worked as a Research Assistant at the IRIS Research Laboratory. He has presented his research work in international conferences and has published articles in established (or highly recognised) research journals. His academic interests focus on Operational Research, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Teaches: Operation Management, Project management.
